Hello and welcome to my A2 media coursework, my name is Charles and I'm currently at Elizabeth Woodville School studying Media at A2 level. For my Advanced Portfolio in Media I had the choice of different briefs all containing different main tasks and different ancillary tasks.
The brief I have chosen is:
6. A selection of materials related to an original children's TV drama, to include the title sequence to the TV programme, together with two of the following three options:
- The front cover to a magazine for the series;
- A DVD cover for the series;
- A radio advertisement for the magazine.
I chose this brief because I believe it is the most exciting and challenging brief to choose, with the opportunity to create a children’s TV opening sequence. The task can differentiate a lot depending on target audience or the genre of the children's show.
I have chosen to create a front cover for a magazine and a DVD cover for the series. These tasks give me the opportunity to use different media devices such as a Camera, Photoshop and video editing software, which I look forward to developing more advanced skills in. the tasks also give me the opportunity to be creative with other materials and techniques such as stop frame animation and creating pictures using paper an other materials, im looking forward to being able to experiment using both of these techniques and seeing what works best for my ideas.
